The mission of the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Alpha House is to end family homelessness in Washtenaw County. The organization provides emergency shelter, food, and support services for families experiencing homelessness in a caring atmosphere of dignity and safety. More than providing just a bed and a roof for families, the goal is to support the families in securing and maintaining their own home. Learn more here.
Rippling Hope provides volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups to spend a day or a week doing minor home repairs in Detroit, Michigan. In addition to doing much needed work on homeowners homes, the weeklong experiences also include cultural and educational components. Learn more here.

Housing Access for Washtenaw County (HAWC) is a central intake for individuals and families who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness. The central intake is the single point of entry for all emergency shelters and housing resources that are available to serve people experiencing homelessness in the county. Residents of Washtenaw County may call HAWC for housing assistance, information and/or referral. Please note: there is a severe shortage of housing resources in Washtenaw County and HAWC is not able to help all people who are experiencing a housing crisis. Learn more here.
M.I.S.S.I.O.N. A2 is a not for profit partnership between homeless and “homeful” Washtenaw County residents collaborating to support self governing tent communities in Michigan during the ongoing housing and employment crises. The organization works to provide a voice to the homeless, and to make tent communities safer and better connected to services so that their citizens can more quickly make their way into more permanent housing, if that is what they want for themselves.
